I’ll be dismantling it this weekend. The one thing I have noticed is that it has the best smoothest boost into the pro10 of any of my currents boosts. Meaning the range of boost and how it causes the protien to smoothly break up is outstanding.

In the mail today. Two boxes from Mouser. I’m an idiot and and had to place two small orders with them instead of just one. I ate the shipping as a lesson learned….. parts for the electro vibe another weekend goal.

My test results came back today from Fig labs…
Positive for soft touch relay-ness…. Appreciate the chips!

Also got some goodies from mouser for the Electrovibe. Now just gotta figure out how to get the UPS trailer in Arizona to find and ship my last bits.

Second "tranche" from the BF sale......plus a bonus board woohooo! The revised Cleaver Boost with a separate toggle to control the treble boost.
So you can boost the "grit" without also boosting the treble. (Basically the internal dip switches in the Katana Mini). The Ungula is going to be the "Cleft Mod" version having already built a germanium version.

And.....a package from the Ukraine! Looking at my order date it took exactly 30 days to get here. Which is not bad at all considering it's coming from the Ukraine.

Mostly NPN's (which I was completely tapped out of), I tried to get a wider range of gains, have not measured yet.
One batch of PNP's that are supposed to be in the higher gain range.
I may have to revisit my EQD Hoof build now that I have some proper Hfe NPN's. (That said, it sounds pretty fantastic as is.....)

An Aion Flare (ZVex Fuzz Factory) kit for my buddy. I figure its low parts count and I wanted him to have an "easy" first time. First one is free... or something like that.

I snagged a Flare PCB for myself. 8 pots to tweak it with. It was on sale, so why not see what sort of unholy sounds I can get out of it.
 
The Christmas fig came through! He does exist you guys! An adjustable bench supply, power amp board, bluetooth modules, step down DC converter, and a transistor substitution box! I REALLY hope I get some bench time this weekend 😀

My Black Friday haul came thru.

Here’s what’s there, and what I plan on doing with it:
  1. mini heterodyne receiver- stock build, just to test before I go crazy with a hexaphonic build.
  2. Daydream delay- inspired by @steviejr92 ‘s build, but it’ll go in a horizontal BB with the direction switch wired offboard as a footswitch. Mix control modded for maintained-dry, volume control omitted, and an additional clock control which will be expression-controllable.
  3. Hydra delay- gonna get a clock control, but otherwise all figured out. Designed a faceplate a while back, and I already have another hydra board, so I’ll build two at the same time with the second being a gift for a friend.
  4. Dirt Dauber- got it on a whim. No specific plans yet
  5. Topographer- not a fan of Shellac or the Dead, but it seemed interesting.
  6. Aloysius Fuzz- I wishlisted it a while back. Finally gonna actually get it built. No mods to this one, but I still need to figure out a graphic.
  7. Oroku Drive- Shredmaster Fun.
  8. Headphone Amp- maybe I’ll pair it with the rockstar distortion? Idk, but a little headphone amp seemed fun and quick. Got a Tayda graphic ready to go.
  9. Horsemeat- eating the hype? Idk. I’m not an overdrive geek, but it looked cool and I figured I’d add it.
  10. Flock- I’m a sucker for a PLL, and this one seems super fun. Since it was back in stock…
  11. Episode Booster- It has a lot of switches, and…
  12. XS Drive- …I figured the Epispde and XS would pair well (with a sorta confusing offboard pot layout) for a combo build that has just a ton of toggle switches (since I’m a sucker for toggle switches!)
  13. Rockstar distortion- idk? Seemed cool
  14. Soldat- gonna be a Stravinsky themed distortion to play janky polychords thru. @benny_profane has recommend this one to me many times, and I finally actually remembered the PCB when I was ordering instead of moments after. Looking forward to trying it!

Sometimes it's fun to absolutely spoil ones'self with a eurorack kit- all the parts are pre-picked and there's no offboard wiring.

I've had my eye on this module for awhile as a vocal effect, so I jumped on it when Synthrotek was handing them out free-with-purchase on Black Friday- should sound sci-fi AF!
