I love building amps! Pedals are something to do which is affordable while I get the money together to build another amp.I really want to build an amp but finding time for a medium part count OD is tough enough these days.

Thanks, I'll have to think this through...5 years if you marry an American citizen…
The car door handle works perfectly. Now I don't have to crawl in from the passenger side to roll the driver-side window open so I can walk around to the driver's side and open the door. It was DIY pedal building that gave me the confidence to fix things, so there's that.Got a new car door handle in the mail today. The other one mysteriously broke. Hopefully I’ll get that put on this weekend.
Oh yeah, I completely forgot to ask. @thewintersoldier can you hit me with the BOM or RefDes for this board at some point?Wife just brought this down to the home office. Her only question was “did someone send you a wad of cash?” No but definitely the next best thing. Thanks again @thewintersoldier. Hit me up with that build doc when you get a chance. Time to start planning! View attachment 31822
How does it sound? I have a buddy that has one of their ODS clones and he loves it.I forgot to post this, but I got my new amp on Friday, a Ceriatone DZ30 (clone of Matchless DC30).

But of course I can't leave well enough alone, so I rewrapped the front panel to match my cabinet and added the Matchless logo. I have the panel routed out behind the logo so I can add the lights like Matchless does, but I forgot to order the lights so I obviously haven't installed them yet.

I absolutely love it, it sounds incredible. I've used their Matchless Lightning clone since 2015 and it's been great, just wanted to upgrade. The 12AX7 channel of the DZ30 sounds a lot like the Lightning, but the EF86 channel is really something special. How does it sound? I have a buddy that has one of their ODS clones and he loves it.

I love everything Matchless does (except for the Hotbox, was never able to get that to work for my taste). When my wife was out the other day I took the opportunity to crank the master volume to 2 o'clock and move some serious air. It's a glorious feeling. You sir have excellent taste. I've played a lightning that a friend owned quite a lot and it is a magnificent amp. I've never played a dc30 but always wanted to. I'd love to even stand in front of one which has been wound up a bit.

Oh good I'm glad you scooped those@Gordo was selling off some templates on MBP forum so of course I had to snag a few. Strat, tele, sg, Barretta. I’ve never planned on building a Kramer Barretta copy, but I couldn’t resist. I’m certainly not a shreddy type of guitarist, so you can expect me to build an absolutely goofy looking shred monster with a with all of the 80s shredder tropes to play some breezy folk rock tunes on.
I think the explorer and V are still available, if you wanna get bonamassishOh good I'm glad you scooped those
