I thought it was a rendered image at first. I'm still not 100% convinced it's not
I kind of like the idea, though. I feel like those would be pretty easy to make with a manual mill. A lot easier than the knurled ones I make now, at least. I've been passively looking for a tabletop mill for a long time, I'll have to keep these in mind if I ever make that happen.

Hell yeah @peccary! I love milling..
I'm taking a class at the local junior college where I get to use the machine shop for whatever I want, so I designed this new top for my Wilkinson tremolo:
If it works as I plan* I'll be able to just lift or press the bridge to do bends without installing the arm- much like one of my favorite songwriters, Isaac Brock.
If I'm any good* I'll be able to use what I'm learning in another class to program an even cooler design into one of the CNC mills by the end of semester and do a small run of them.

That's really awesome. I'm just dicking around with a mini lathe in the garage so I can't get too fancy with anything. I'd love a small mill and then a lathe upgrade, but that'll probably happen over a few years time, I'm in no rush and it's not something I can prioritize.
I do love working a manual lathe, though. It's a lot of fun and I don't even understand why. In a perfect world I'd have a couple of those bench top Precision Matthews machines, I just need to hit the lottery first
