It looks like someone forgot to specify location with JLC on that III Cheese Fuzz faceplate… Interesting looking designs though!

I checked their website and, sure enough, it's shown that way on their product page. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they didn't notice, but when it's a faceplate...

Ya it doesn’t bother me that much and the artwork is cool so I can overlook it but maybe they could get marked down $5 for the printing error. It is kind of a rookie mistake

edit: That project is $10 cheaper than his other pcb/faceplate combos. That seems pretty fair. I will still probably go back and buy the other 2 projects I didnt buy this time.

The rest I'd rather fudge based on other boards I have and squeeze into a smaller enclosure.



Heard from my amp sifu re the MB450H I just picked up and posted on the previous page... (paraphrasing):

450w transistor amp output for bass is only match for 50w tube guitar combo amp.

2nd point is 'made in Vietnam' products are not good reliability and weak in workmanship, components are not high-quality.

My advice is not to buy it.

Can you get a 50W tube amp for that kind of money over there? I took a quick look at the used market over here and the best I could find was a 40W old PA amplifier I think that needed some fixing up (scratchy pots and needed biasing at least), but worked, 240€. Nothing else anywhere even close to that, some solid state 50W stuff for ~200-300€. So in that sense I'd say it's still a bargain.

No, you can't get a 50w Tube Amp for that kind of money, unless all the tubes are broke and the chassis a twisted wreckage from the amp falling out of the transport onto the TransCanada at 120km/hr.

That's not what my Amp Sifu was zeroing in on, rather just pointing out that a 300w SS Bass Amp isn't going to be able to compete on stage with a Tubey 100w guitar stack. It'll make a nice home or recording amp though. I don't think I'll ever be in any band that the guitarist will have a raging stack, that's not the kind of amp used in any of the genres I typically play, whereas a 50w Tubed combo is quite likely to be the biggest loudest — actually, an 80w Twin Reverb is pretty common in those genres. So... Typically I'll be going DI into the board, too.

Just ordered.....well splurged on the Meris LVX. Haven't bought an actually pedal in a very long time, thanks to PPCB and some other great sites. I have the Polymoon and it's hands down my favorite delay I've ever played. The Poly is also the most frustrating and difficult to dial in delay I've ever played also. If I didn't have a Morningstar MC8, I'd be up shits creek.

Loads of goodies in the mailbox today. Got some transistors to fix my Woodpecker (Thank you @Robert), got a handful of TapLFOs, got a stack of new PCBs to add to my box of other unfinished projects, got a transformer, and last but not least, I got an Omnifixo helping hand that I will definitely put to good use.

Purple fuzz face pcb turned up today. I'm still hunting for an enclosure for this one though. It's slightly too wide for a 125b and I don't want to go up to a 1590bb.
