I ended up going with an impulse buy on Aliexpress, I read good things about this pedal on reddit and went for it for 29€. But... hmm... there's something wrong...

Ahh yes, much better!

From a short demo so far, for the price it's really nice, quite flexible EQ - Tone, Bright, Mids and Char which I think stands for character and is a low end control? I think it's a clone of the MI Audio Tube Zone. Not totally blown away yet, but for 29€ it's hard to go wrong. Did I need it? Hell no. Do I regret it? Not really.

Man, if only these dirt cheap pedals came with through hole components. They'd be so fun to screw around with! It seems that these Chinese knock-offs are slowly getthing their things to look good, in a very minimalist way, which has put them on my radar as well. :)

Another batch of stereo bypass boards...

A 5,- EEPROM ripper for future Pythagoras builds.

And, as I do, two boards of: Beholder, Dissapearing Act, Klein Bottle, Beta Lead, Acoustic 360, for all sorts of stereo / dual mono builds.

About 2x24 boards remain in the wishlist, but those have to wait for black friday deals. 🤞

Bunch of different things coming in the door.

These AC125s and AC126s arrived from Thailand:

I need to clean the corrosion or whatever it is off. A scotch-brite pad works okish. Do you think contact cleaner would help? Would it damage them? I suppose I’ll test on a few.

I was just saying how much I hated drilling etched pcbs the other day. I got a wild hair (some transfers on Effects Layouts got me hot), and ordered up the required stuff to have a go. The Dremel press is like a 1000x better than the one from 25 years ago when I last etched boards haha:

This tube order from Eurotubes has been sitting a while:

They are for a Rosamp SLO30 build I ordered right when they opened it up again (August 31st). They shipped it on September 11th. It fell off the truck on the 15th. I waited a week before asking him to check on it. He responded that he needed to decide what to do. Nothing yet haha. I guess I’ll email again on Monday (two weeks since last package scan). It’s becoming a bummer though:

I do have other things to keep me busy obviously haha, but I am really looking to building my first amp in 25 years.

Did it "fall off the truck" in Italy? Is the Mafia getting into tube rolling?

I didn’t know a dremel press was a thing. Would you use it to drill enclosures?

I uhh.... I know a guy.... :ROFLMAO:
If only teleportation was possible!!!! I seriously give it away, which is legal under CA law. There's a little known free "sellers permit" that allows sales without a dispensary license which is like $30k a year, but you have to pay sales taxes. Baah... I hate paper work, and get a real sense of joy seeing that smile on people's faces!
