For whatever reason Amazon decided this warranted a second day physical delivery from UPS, for a $7 order. I live like 5 blocks from the post office and I know the driver already had to drop off plenty of Amazon stuff there anyway, but OK. Of course my new tube amp needs one of the few slow blow fuse current ratings I didn't already have on hand, and which is not all that easy to find locally either.

Acoustic guitar beta testers from D’Addario. Really nice but I bet they wont’t be cheap.

We also got a new coffee grinder for our espresso machine, a hand cranked one this time. Works much better than the semi-jank ā€œprosumerā€ electric one we wore out another one of.

We have a Baratza encore esp now and really like it other than it being a little on the noisy side. Been using it for a little more than a year and never even had to do some maintenance.

We had the baseline Encore both times, sounds like the extra fifty bucks for the ESP version might well be worth it. I almost pulled the trigger on one this time, and maybe still would if the hand grinder doesn’t pan out. Our kitchen is tiny though, and whoever gets to sleep in will probably really appreciate how quiet the hand one is.
