I like those switch-slots. Are there low profile switches that would fit like that on a ppcb board if I milled the slots?

The only thing that comes to mind is sub-mini switches, but those wouldn't fit the standard sized footprint. (And might not be short enough)

These aren't special switches, the PCB is in the enclosure "upside down" so only the ends of the bats protrude through the enclosure.

Looks like if I used those goofy Long leg pots and regular switches that might work no? Oh, but I guess I might need a deeper box to clear the component side…

You could install everything except for ICs on the "wrong" side of the board, just be mindful of any pinouts that need to be reversed (transistors, etc)
