Yep, there are two on the back.Might be a FET based comp. Those two pads have something on the back I think.
nn simple comp?

How do you like the preamp? What’s it voiced like?I just finished making a wooden enclosure for my tube preamp, using some birch hardwood with very nice figure in it.
At home, I feed my guitar into this preamp (with effects before & after), and then into a low-power class-D amp, and finally into some smaller moderate efficiency speakers. That way I can play at reasonable volumes (I'm old and deaf enough already), and still enjoy a great sound. But just like it's fun to dress up my stompboxes, it seemed appropriate to make something nice for my preamp.

I'm definitely not as amp-aware as you and many others clearly are, so it's frankly a challenge for me to properly describe its voice with confidence - my apologies for that. It's the Frenzel FM-DP1 which is a 12AX-7 tubed preamp with a Fender 3-band tone stack and 2 inputs, one more clean/Fender-ish and the other more aggressive/Marshall-like (with separate gain controls). I just received it, so I'm still very much playing around with it. To my ears, the preamp seems pretty flexible, and it definitely can provide good tube warmth as well as gainier rock attitude. But give me some more time with it + finish getting it properly integrated into my setup, and then I'll try to capture some sounds and post them. [My original amp is a THD Univalve, which definitely can provide bucketloads of attitude - I run NOS 6K6-GT's in it for indoor-friendly volumes, and it can really growl.]How do you like the preamp? That was a typo, the ad copy was supposed to read it's "quite a superb cold-compress".What's this based on? Ad copy says its a super quiet compressor.

And yes, I f'ed up and put my post on the wrong thread, I realized it almost immediately afterwards. Sincerely oops.
I have the DP525 head. I have JCM800 mod on the "Marshall" channel. I previously had the "Lil Jessie".
