That's weird. I distinctly remember slaying demons in hell in that one.The Doom 2 is just an analog fuzz, it might crush the bass down to a square wave but it doesn't do any of that fancy synth filter stuff...
Plenty of synths in QuakeThat's weird. I distinctly remember slaying demons in hell in that one.
Now you’re talking!I never said the Do'm-To'm-As-They-Doom-Unto-Ewe was anything other than a bass-sick phutzz...
But Zach sez if you add the (and I'm paraphrasing here):
Ocelot feeding the
as-yet-to-be-named YerDOOMYtoo
into Double Tracker
into Caesar chorus
into Duck Box into
LPF into
D3Lay...
...It'll sound very Cynthia.
It only takes synesthesiating about a half-dozen pedalias to do it!
Out of interest why? I recently sold my C4, fantastic but the lack of knobs and switching presets was horrid. (And it’s oc2 octave style just felt wrong)AND the FI includes the Unibass algos (add an octave above, add a 5th above or a 4th below the octave ...)
AND a tuner.
and tap-tempo ...
FI gets rid of so much clutter on the board. It boggles my mind why the little Pandas aren't more popular.
NEVER been interested in the C4, even before I got my Panda FI.
He’s not the messiah, he’s just a naughty fuzz pedalThe Doom 2 is just an analog fuzz, it might crush the bass down to a square wave but it doesn't do any of that fancy synth filter stuff...
To be bluntly honest, I was turned off by the fanboyz on Talkbass, so I haven't even tried it.Out of interest why? I recently sold my C4, fantastic but the lack of knobs and switching presets was horrid. (And it’s oc2 octave style just felt wrong)
Borrowing an Artifakt and with the 16 presets plus 7 on the front, plus the extra controls I think they have fixed that.
Not tried the fi
Excellent, thank you!Yep, it's in front of me right this minute.
Is the little black plastic thing hiding something worth hiding? Or is it just magic diodes and a few hand selected capacitorsYep, it's in front of me right this minute.
Whoa! Hats off for all the effort!I haven't cracked it open yet but I'm kinda expecting to find an opamp in there...
Where are you finding a V4 for that price? Best I am seeing is about $320 shipped direct from Panda, thanks to a current sale price.Future impact has enough features for a million migraines but it's soooo much fun. It's basically a full featured virtual synth once you hook up usb and load the editor. The latest (V4?) is going to an app based system allowing the dev to have fully different programs available for it. I don't get why they aren't huge. 100s of synth sounds and a full featured editor, for ~$230.
Maybe I typed it inverted? Or maybe that was the sale price at the time?Where are you finding a V4 for that price? Best I am seeing is about $320 shipped direct from Panda, thanks to a current sale price.
Cuz damn it, thanks to this thread's side track and the "Trippy" sounds thread from August I must get one now.
Is it just like the pink one, but not as cool?
