True, it looks more like the schematic of a real jubilee with the dual gang bass pot etc though haha
Yeah I'm thinking something Guvnor-like in front of a JFET MIAB circuit.
We'll see shortly.

I don't know what that is, but it looks cool.
Are there low profile switches that would fit like that on a ppcb board if I milled the slots?
Looks like if I used those goofy Long leg pots and regular switches that might work no? Oh, but I guess I might need a deeper box to clear the component side…The only thing that comes to mind is sub-mini switches, but those wouldn't fit the standard sized footprint. (And might not be short enough)
These aren't special switches, the PCB is in the enclosure "upside down" so only the ends of the bats protrude through the enclosure.

I have successfully completed the entire DOOM2, version 1 and 2, game using only the chainsaw. Every demon has their weakness....Doom 2: Moar Doomz
Wow, I haven’t thought about that game in years.I have successfully completed the entire DOOM2, version 1 and 2, game using only the chainsaw. Every demon has their weakness....
Yeah, I can't even play video games anymore. Arthritis in my fingers. The more I use them, the faster they'll stop working completely. So, if I'm gonna wear them out it'll be on the guitar!!!!Wow, I haven’t thought about that game in years.
My favorite game easter egg is typing those while playing Heretic: they give you a snarky bit of text, then do the opposite of DOOM. Yeah, you just lose yer crap and die.IDKFA, IDDQD
Hell yeah, I was just thinking "I should buy one of these and clone it"
Very excited
What’s the verdict?Just replaced the OP07 in my Rat with a metal can LM308 that @Barry generously sent to me.

I happened upon a handful of LM308 recently too. Not metal can but late production DIP-package by STMicroelectronics. Recorded some DIs and used a reamp box for a proper comparison between the LM308N and the OP07 in the exact same pedal. I'm usually not one for mojo parts but these really do sound different. Not that the OP07 sounds bad or doesn't do the rat thing, the LM308 just has a different tone and I do prefer it.Just replaced the OP07 in my Rat with a metal can LM308 that @Barry generously sent to me.

It’s subtle, but I like the 308 better. It sounds less harsh and feels more spongy, for lack of a better term, especially with higher output pickups. I didn’t do a precise before/after, though, so it’s possible that I’m hearing things. Either way, though, this Rat’s going to be a daily driver for me.What’s the verdict?
