White Washer Distortion capacitor question

I am looking at the schematic for the White Washer Distortion and C3 and C4 are two 1µF caps in parallel to VRF. Surely I could just use a single 2µ2? Is Mr Black using up his bulk shipment of 1µ caps?

Not gonna lie: I’ve been doing a lot of series resistors and parallel caps to try and maintain basic SMD parts usage at JLCPCB.

Even before that though I was using TH parallel cap strings for the fuzz pot cap on The Pompeii.
