Women of PedalPCB

Love how this took an hour to go from"any women here?" to comparisons of ballzak length.
Stay classy my friends.
Also. There's a sleeper chicklet here with awesome builds you ALL call dude.
Yeah, i don’t think the point of this was to try and “out” anyone who doesn’t want to openly disclose that information because that would be…….extremely questionable. Hella respect though to any female who breaks through the testosterone barrier to just do what they like and show us Neanderthals how it’s done.

Addendum: really and truly it shouldn’t matter. you make cool shit? I don’t care who you are, just keep doing what you do.

Nor was it the point of my post...
It's just funny (to me anyway)when they role out a build report and go along with it. Props to her and her awesome builds.

I’ve always assumed/ hoped there were a few low-key ladies among us. Shout-out to you! This is one of the more welcoming corners of the internet I’ve come across, and while I don’t know that I would out myself if I were in the gender minority, I do like the idea that this isn’t a totally gross place to hang out.

If I had to guess, I bet we all like an “awesome build dude!” comment but I also take note and appreciate when folks don’t assign a gender to folks with an ambiguous presence. It takes an extra second to think about, but it’s a nice gesture.

Statistically there are more men than women both as guitar players as well as in tech/engineering type disciplines, so it follows the demographics here are skewed toward men.
That said, there have been so many amazing women in both of those categories- we can’t begin to list the accomplishments of women guitarists such as Carol Kaye, Wendy Malvoin and others

As for the electrical side of things, I think we are all excited to see Frantone coming back. And of course we can’t forget Simcha Delft, who has been a consultant for some of the best tube amp transformer designs (and reproductions out there)…. But when she started, actually went by the name Stephen Delft, taking advantage of the anonymity of the internet, in order to keep prejudices about a woman engineer from affecting her work.

This forum isn’t the only welcoming forum out there on the web.
I assume this because it’s the only one I follow.
And I follow this forum because it’s welcoming.
Ya know what I mean dude.?.?
