I also chop my own chocolate when I bake with it because the only slavery free chips I have found locally are both terrible and expensive.A TEN POUND chocolate bar. I've been baking since I was a child and have been buying 10 pound guittard bars since the 70's when they were available at Trader Joe's (no longer available there).
It chops up fairly easily and is vastly cheaper than buying chocolate chips. Better too. BTW, white "chocolate" chips contain no chocolate. It's palm kernel oil. So I buy the guittard white chocolate.
