What are your 5 Desert Island Pedals?

I’m toying with the idea of putting together a 5 pedal set up in an large Hammond enclosure similarly (but less magnificently) to what @ADAOCE did -

What are your five pedals that are essential for you (on this desert island with mains power)?

I will be mostly using this with headphones so I’m excluding the unicab and a headphone amp which would also be included. My amp doesn’t have reverb so that’s a must also. So far I’m leaning for:

1) Tone bender
2) Klon/Blues Breaker
3) Hydra Delay
4) Spacialist Reverb
5) Harmonic Trem

1) Turbo Rat
2) Op-amp Big Muff (or another Turbo Rat)
3) Envelope filter - either Agent 00Funk or Mu-Tron III
4) Some sorta analog Octave that offers up and down
5) DuoPhase

I've actually been considering using one of my 1456s to make a sorta multifx pedalboard kinda deal. No more than maybe 9 circuits total, including a buffers and the like. I've built a couple huge multis in the past, and I always seem to regret it, but they were also loaded with stuff I never actually use like delays and flangers

Trust me, I wanna love BBD and PT2399 based circuits, but so far I just haven't found any that have wowed me. And, I've disliked the FV1 versions even more.

I do absolutely love the LowTide, though. And, while I haven't actually built it yet, the Viib sounds like something I might actually be able to fuck with
The VIIB fucks hard, but dude you gotta wake up 😂 7gtxs6.jpg

1) Tuner - im serious - if you're stuck on a desert island with no tuner - i'd be very concerned about going full tom hanks and obsessing over whether my estimated self-tuning using harmonics was based on C @ 440Hz or not. etc.
2) OD808
3) CE-2
4) klon
5) Deep Blue Delay (PT2399 will live forever)

A decent compressor - Dinosaural OTC-201 is sort of my go to... (Steggo Dino Comp)
Some sort of Big Muff - '73 Ram's head or something like a Cornish P-2 (Steggo Big Mutt Phi or Protoceratops 2)
Colorsound Power Boost (Steggo Thagomizer)
A decent chorus - an AionFX clone of the Dimension C is sort of my go to, but I may be moving to the Lectric-FX CE-2 clone
A decent delay - either an early Aqua Puss clone or one of the few commercial pedals I own - the T-Rex Replica...

Always a given that you need some type of tuner, but it doesn't have to be a pedal tuner!
Besides, as tuners are a must I never count them in these sorts of threads. Owing to the OP where you've granted a couple more givens, namely Unicab and Headphone-amp...

If it's only PedalPCB builds:
Frequency Interchange Filter — Broughton Audio Low + High Pass Filter
EQ: Equilux — Spaceman Equinox
Compressor: Delegate Boneyard — ChuckD.Bones-modded EQD Warden
Octave Down: Ocelot — Boss OC-2 Oct down
Dirt 1 OD: InfiniDrive — John Hollis OmniDrive, w/ bass mods, for maximum versatility
Dirt 2 Fuzz: Muffin Factory — multi-possibility Muff, leaning heavy on the Russian parts values for better bass response
Wah: Poison Apple — Mad Prof SWAH
Reverb/Delay/Modulation: Octagon/Module8 switchable dual-EEPROMs for 16 possible sounds
The EQ would be on an order-switcher to alternately come at the end of the chain.
Maybe an order switcher for the two dirts, too.

Wait, you did say 8 pedals, right? 'Cause that above is bare minimum for me.
Okayokay 5, yeesh...

If you open it up to other DIY-brands let alone commercial, well... that just makes it too tough to decide!

Desert islands typically have no electricity or batteries, so I'd vie for an acoustic guitar. ;)

@Guardians of the analog wait…..you passed up the opportunity to show your disdain for the Lowtide!? Times they are a changin.
But yes, the VIIb is fucking amazing even for the low end crew.
As for the OP question:
Rat
Kliche mini
Hydra delay
Duo phase
Sandspur
