I would have trouble taking a seller like that seriously after seeing the picture of the guy in the "Ask an expert" bit. Sure, if I was buying stocks I would look for a guy who looked like that but for a tubescreamer? I don't think so!

I have a sweetwater account, and for the longest time I've only bought strings. But I have a person assigned to me, and they email occasionally and also call to check if I'm happy with my strings. That's the expert (it's his actual picture that shows when I go the sweetwater site).

They stick to you until they leave and another person gets assigned (every few years I get a new person contacting me and introducing themselves).

If you don't have an account, maybe they just pick one from their staff.
 
It's also weird that they are "sales engineers". Like Casey Jones? (Reeally showing my age now!) My assigned "sales engineer" looks like Al Gore. He'll know tubescreamers.
