Thinking about building an amp in a 50 cal ammo can. All tube, preferably. My lunchbox amp will be cooler (looking, at least) than most lunchbox amps.

Have I ever built an amp? Nope. This will force me to learn. Many failures will probably occur. Especially with those size constraints. But if Ade Emsley can do it, so can I.

Hmm, that sounds like you might need to cut some vents for airflow which might lose you a bit on aesthetics, but I guess if you keep them on the back side it would be fine.

I don't know anything about building amps, just something I thought of first. Maybe you could also use the ammo can itself as a sort of radiator thing which might help, I don't know.

I was definitely thinking it needs vents. Originally in the back, which I might still do, but I was thinking in the lid or just remove the lid when in use.

This is very much a "could I do it?" project. I mean I could cheat and just rehouse my Orange Micro Dark, but where's the fun in that?
