I'm just up the road a way in Ellijay, and mine always arrive a day earlier than the Post Office projects! That is amazing! I’m assuming @Robert knew this was going to be a big sales weekend and tried to stay ahead of the early orders.
My order hasn’t shipped yet (but, then again, I didn’t even place it until Sunday night because I was wishy-washy about what I was going to buy). PedalPCB packages ship out of Albany Georgia and I live in Atlanta Georgia. Maybe a three hour drive or so.
But invariably my packages first travel out of state down to Jacksonville Florida (coincidentally, where I grew up), then they make their way to the Atlanta Network Distribution Center (aka “the black hole”) where they are inexplicably logged as both entering and departing the facility multiple times over the course of a few days. Apparently my package often (understandably) gets sick of this shit and jumps the fence; it’s usually found a few days later, either drunk in an alley or in a jail cell, where it is hauled back to the Postal Service (sometimes rehab first, but usually the Post Office), goes through two more distribution centers and a local post office and eventually makes its way to my mailbox, just a few short years after being shipped.
And that’s the story of how my PedalPCB packages get from Albany Georgia to Atlanta Georgia.

Every time I think I have all the boards I'm ever going to need. Robert puts them on sale, and I can't resist the temptation...I keep having this fear that Robert is going to drop an even BIGGER load of coupon lovin tm, right after I hit that first coupon as soon as it dropped…. Meh. I ordered on Friday and got my boards yesterday in KY, a day ahead of the projected delivery estimate. Now I can let them sit even longer before I get to work on them![]()
I often fail as well… but when my backlog is over 20, I force myself to just say “no”. Now if I have 19 then the sky’s the limit! LolEvery time I think I have all the boards I'm ever going to need. Robert puts them on sale, and I can't resist the temptation...
I’ve been at this a few years and have built about all that I really care to build and plenty that I didn’t intend to, so it is a lot easier to say no these daysEvery time I think I have all the boards I'm ever going to need. Robert puts them on sale, and I can't resist the temptation...
I had that policy, too! About 150 boards ago!I often fail as well… but when my backlog is over 20, I force myself to just say “no”. Now if I have 19 then the sky’s the limit! Lol
