My pcb collection is getting outta hand

Literally about to build a spreadsheet to do an inventory on build I have.. That way I can give it a quick glance on what I wanna build as priority... I have at least 100-125 boards and not many duplicates..:geek:
And I thought my backlog of 30 boards was bad!

Yeesh.

I'd make a spreadsheet for all my pedals, if I was boring.

Like, that way I might actually get all the parts that I need from one mouser order instead of spacing out three different orders, wasting cash on shipping costs, and delaying completion of various projects.

Nah dudes. I do it SMART.

I was going to try and whittle my backlog down…

But sometimes my tastes change over the time the boards are shipped. Or I end up with a ‘better’ idea.

I count 40 boards, not including a bunch of different daughter boards. I have enclosures for 14 of them. I have 7 still in the box of shame. I fixed one this weekend, but sometimes I pick parts from them.

I've got to a point where I don't buy many boards any more because I kinda have everything I want.

I only buy a board now if it's an OD that is new and I am particularly curious about. I do have maybe 20 unbuilt PCBs but most of them are duplicates. In the past I would buy two or three of a circuit I was confident I would like so that I could build the first one stock and then use the others to build modified versions.

One thing I will NEVER do is anything to do with spreadsheets!

I have a spreadsheet of all my pedal projects with 10+ tabs. Also a spreadsheet for parts orders.

Feeling offended by the spreadsheet-less jocks here.
My problem is I’m allergic to them. I think spreadsheets are cool, I just can’t handle them without flaring up. Instead I tap and drag things around like a caveman

I moved my pcbs into a binder with card sleeves. My magic cards were side eyeing me from across the room while I put pcbs the card sleeves. Before the binder I just swam around in them like Scrooge mcduck.

edit: I keep all the larger PCBs in a jlcpcb box.

it's not as bad as I thought.... just got through about 90% of my drawer and so far inventory for pedalpcb I have 46 different pcbs and some I have doubles... probably have another 10-12 to add then Im gonna tally up other brands... probably another 10-12 different types.
