Was looking to buy some smd j201's at digikey and TH j201's popped up for 7.49 CDN each. Where have I been?

Raytheon or Northrop probably needed some to restock from the 100 billion dollar bungle in Iran.
Then again, Linear Systems has a niche in fet fab. Looking at their site, looks like they just decided to spin up the fab and fill the void in the market. Maybe they'll be around for a while, but at a premium.

InterFET has been manufacturing them for years, I'm not sure if they ever stopped?

I have them in the shop for $4, which is cheaper than Mouser but still too damned expensive for a transistor that used to cost pennies....

Then there's the other thing... I assure you these are genuine, but they sure look fake....

Banzai sells them for about a euro if you buy some stock. But they also have NOS. Curious where the cheap ones come from, as they're labelled house brand.

Yup, a friend of mine had really bad luck with some OTAs he paid good money for.
Banzai is super slow, makes so many mistakes in orders and sells fake shit. I suppose the only reason they are still doing business is the huge variety of products they have.
