Two builds: Wavelord & Harmonic Percolator

Two new builds. Did five 10s last week, which left absolutely no time for anything like...else.

These two didn't come out great. The wavelord in particular was driving me up the wall...trying to get the laser engraver to work properly, being a bit sloppy with my drilling, hell, I even put an LED in backwards.

The harmonic Percolator: this was the first enclosure I did after setting up my new CNC. Tried leveling the surface of the enclosures...doesn't work so well. Getting the right transistors for this thing to bias up correctly was a PITA. Next time it's gonna be breadboarded with trimmers.

So, these two are gonna be hidden in the same build report, my hall of shame:

The wavelord: very cool. Very tweakable. The distortion control is super interesting...can't wait to see how this one plays when the LFO drives other pedals.

The Percolator: ah. I get it. This is my first germanium build, and it's...just...tasty. Love it. Smooth as buttah, good for some of that laid back death metal that I like so much. Boy howdy.

Possolootly Mr Flycoon.

Very jarring indeed. So much so that...

I looked at your post, looked at Mr Stickman's gutshot and read on the PCB "DeadEndFX" and then did a google search...

"OH! G'JEEBERS! RIGHT! THAT Dead End FX!" 🤦‍♂️

Digging both builds, but something loveable about that CREEPING DAMAGE with those wild diodes and sausage-resistors and grey top-hat transistor...

Looking forward to your findings of the Wavelord's LFO tapping into other pedals.

Wavelord + Glasshole 🤌. Have also used the Wavelord to drive modulation on a Parasit sonic reducer. It’s pretty cool, but less than I had hoped. The mill marks on the HP add to the “creeping damage” aesthetic. IMG_4972.jpeg

Man dude, do I LOVE the Harmonic Percolator! It is capable of doing all forms of dirt, add a boost and you can make it the only dirt pedal on your board. Can do low distortion, perfect for rhythm. Turn it up a tad and you have a solid low/med overdrive. Crank everything and your tearing off the wallpaper with a gnarly fuzz.

Still have to build Jimi Photon's Harmonic Jeurgulator. His demo videos make it seem like he's cracked the code to the perfect HP.

Nice @Stickman393 ! What end mill do you use for the lettering? Thinking about doing an enclosure today...Thought about one of these. What do you think? End Mills -link

Stay away from those end mills. Any down cut end mill is useless for any metal cutting. If i were you id use an engraving bit meant for aluminum! What did you want to accomplish? Cutting holes? Graphic engraving?
