How do you secure it in the enclosure without the typical lamp assembly found in amp builds?

Those are stickers. Transparent over mirrow. Works really well.

How do you protect toner from scratching? From what I understand there's: base layer (silver, gold), transparent layer with an artwork.
Anything on top of that?

I don't fix the stickers with clear coat. Could do that but don't habe problems, like this. See picture ubove. Base are mirrow and gold stickers /foil. On top is transparent sticker printed in black or different colors. Thats it.....

Sticker ist transparent printed on a Canon TS 8150 inkjet printer in yellow over mirrow sticker. Gives that gold effect.
