“Gooped” …challenge accepted?

That seems like a pretty good-natured way to voice a bit of frustration about having specific versions of boards "inspire" companies without going down the rabbit hole saying that the underlying design was carved into a stone tablet carried down off of Mount Arrghh-A-Rat.

I want to see if there is anything fun printed on the other side of that circuit board.

Honestly, that’s what you get if you have your foot switch as part of your main board.

I've been working on an original design that I intend to compete with an existing pedal on the market, so I wanted to buy the original so I could A/B my design against his. Apparently he noticed my @sushiboxfx.com email address and gooped my pedal before shipping it :ROFLMAO: I have friends that have the same pedal and none of theirs are gooped, so I got special treatment just for me. I wasn't originally planning to trace it, but it made me want to :P

But when I told Robert about it he beat me to it and it's already been traced and is out there now 🎸

And THAT is how it’s done. Love it.

Yeah I feel like anymore this is a great example of Streisand Effect. and with the exception of some rare cases (like the original Klon or something I guess) it seems like anymore circuits are gooped less because they’re something truly unique that the maker doesn’t want copied and more because it serves to obscure the fact that it’s probably just a dolled up tube screamer or what have you…
