UpvotedOh man it was codeveloped with John from EAE who is already in here so yeah this should be fun
only a matter of time till a new user 1891vrd comes on, seems friendly not friendly, things get weird and then we get a locked thread and some memes.
Unbelievable.Popping in to call forum members names, point fingers, make absurd accusations, and falsely claim that circuits are inaccurate is just unacceptable.
I know it's the right move, but it is damn entertaining in the moment. It's like trying not to laugh at a toddler having a tantrum because the banana they just took a bite out of.. has a bite out of it.I think we're going to stop hosting those little temper tantrums moving forward... I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe something constructive could come from it, but it rarely does. (Occasionally, but rarely)
Agreed, like, I like that the DRV is a *very* tastefully modified Rat with a boost in front that does what he claims it does (more interesting low-gain textures), but its outside control set is the same control set as the Rat.I thought the same thing when I heard it. I've talked to Matthew from 1981 Inventions in the past, he seems like a straight up guy who wouldn't intentionally mislead, and John is a smart dude, so I feel fairly confident there's more going on than that.... We'll see eventually.
Oh, no doubt about it. I’m in a few discord servers with EAE and I *think* Matthew much be in some of them too, and I remember them being cool dudes. I’m just almost certain that it finds it’s primordial DNA in the 250I thought the same thing when I heard it. any insight you could provide into the lack of tone control? Does the EQ change with gain like a 250?Y'all are ruthless. At least give poor Matt a head start!
Anyway, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of the design when it is inevitably traced. Didn't reinvent the wheel but it's not a paint-by-numbers job either. It's not a 250, I promise.
