I got Affinity when it was last on sale, still don't know how to use it but my wife is learning fast.

I visited the website and still don't understand what "Add-On Packages" are all about, but can anyone direct me to an Add-On that converts images to line art?

Is that not standard in Designer? Bummer.

I'm considering buying these apps as my Adobe CS5.5 can't be installed on my new computer - the apps are too old and 32 bit - and I can't afford an Adobe subscription ATM. Plus I hate the subscription business model.
 
Unfortunately that's the one thing that Affinity is missing... an Image Trace function.

Add-Ons aren't "plugins", they're basically just brush and texture packs. :confused:
 
I forgot to say that I never used image tracing. As a designer, I never could stand the results in Illustrator. Tracing by hand is so much better but of course it requires skills that most people don't have. Image tracing always looks trashy but you would think they'd include it by default. It's been around forever.
