Aion Cerulean Parts Questions

I am building the Aion FX Cerulean:

I discovered I was working from a older build document. I discovered this because I realized that the breakout board I have has an extra cap not in the build doc I was using.

Mostly it's the same. On the older doc the value for C10 was 100uf and the newer one says 47uf. I have one that is 100 and I don't have one that is 47. How would using the 100uf effect this?

The older document also said you could use a 250kB pot for the tone (versus 25kB) to get higher gain while the current one doesn't say that. I have 250kb pot so will that be ok to use (and get higher gain)?

It’s a power supply filter cap, should be fine to use 100uf.

Not really, just try it and see if you like it! Just tack solder the pot legs in at their tips so you can remove them easily if you don’t approve haha

Ha ha, yea I get it. In general would having a higher value for the tone pot result in higher gain? I would have thought the value of the gain pot would have that effect.

I'm giving this a bump to see if anyone wants to chime in about the tone pot. I'm curious.
