Anyone watch JHS’s “Build your own Fuzz Face” live stream this morning?

I watched part of it, gonna finish watching later. its nothing new for most of us but kinda cool to watch Josh fumble through a build. I kinda chuckled at the socket part because I had just been down that road of sockets not fitting into the smaller transistor pcb holes. Im interested to see where he takes the segment. it could be very cool if he starts doing more deep divey stuff. I like the JHS show for the most part. some of it is dumb but its generally entertaining. plus im from Kansas City so im partial. I know a lot of people hate him for the bad monkey drama but i appreciate the spotlight he puts on obscure stuff. I discovered the systech overdrive from his show and its one of my favorite oddball drive pedals.

also that stewmac pcb looks exactly like the sandspur PCB. i know they are both silicon fuzz faces but still the layout is almost identical

Hate him for the bad monkey stuff? No way, he just had the pedal in his show to prove a point. That’s insanity.

he could have just as easily put a GE-7 in front of any lowish gain hard clipper and gotten reasonably close lol. I don’t have any interest in watching him build, but it could be helpful for somebody interested in pedal building who’s got one toe in to get an idea of how you do x, y, z.
