Best DC jack for Tayda PedalPCB predrilled enclosures?

Indeed thank you. Even though Lumberg is great you don’t see brands in the store with protruding jacks like this
JHS still does I think, most brands are using board mounted stuff for fastest assembly, but it's a little more difficult for DIY stuff because there are so many variables when you send out a DIY project as far as what people will have access to in their area and such.

I've been meaning to ask @PedalPCB, is the LED hole for the pre-drilled enclosures supposed to match any specific bezel? I have to widen it for every bezel I've tried.

Actually they're quite common.

I probably have three or four commercial pedals on my bench right this minute with the exact same type of jack.

With that said, the pedals in the store you speak of have been professionally milled. Tayda can do that if that's what you want.

The pre-drilled enclosures are geared towards folks who don't want to drill the enclosure themselves, not particularly mass-produced runs of retail products.

FWIW make sure you get Lumberg DC jacks. The cheaper versions of that jack are terrible!
Every question here has been answered, but I want to chime in and agree with this. The cheaper knockoffs of the Lumberg are terrible. I understand trying to save a buck here and there when building, but the Lumberg DC jack is 100% worth the extra money.

Disclaimer: not affiliated with Lumberg, despite my best efforts

Maybe I have just been especially lucky, but I've put together probably a dozen pedals with what I assume is Tayda's Lumberg-knockoff and never had any issues, except maybe that one or two have wiggled loose if I didn't tighten them down enough...

I've really had it on my list to put together some high-end builds of my favorite "keeper" pedals but I tend to flip through them quickly enough and haven't had any issues with the generic parts that I've just not got around to it yet...

I feel like the ones they have at tayda now are better than before, or the ones I got more recently are just lucky to be decent ones. The ones I got in 2018 were almost unusable due to the nuts not being able to be sufficiently tightened. I got some more recently for pedalpcb predrilled ones and I bought some of the small ones and the larger ones thinking I'd just drill it out if it wasn't good and to my surprise I was very happy with the ones I got.

I have some non-lumbergs that I sourced from either Tayda or LMS--they work fine but some of them are super tight--you need some force to get the jack in.
