Betty Boost Question

I’ve been researching the forum on the Betty Boost project. The build document doesn’t say specifically but it looks like some are using 1/8 watt resistors instead of 1/4 watt. That or standing them on end. I’ve only used 1/4 watt thus far. Can I use either? Is it just preferred way of using the smaller ones that lay flat?

I see. I assume some people have a stock of 1/4 watt resistors and might as well use them, even if needing to stand them up

Thanks

Oh, and mixing 1/4 with with 1/8 watt, in case I have some resistors for the project already that are 1/4 watt?

You can do that, but wedging in parts where they don't fit can lead to problems:
  • Leads touching
  • Crowding other parts
  • And the #1 reason for not standing up resistors: makes visual inspection more difficult

I've got both 1/8 and 1/4, but to clarify, I should use 1/8w resistors for my Betty Boost PCB?
(All my PedalPCB stuff is already packed away for pending move, or I'd just check the BB board myself.)
