EQD Swiss Things

I love this sort of "utility" type stuff!
I've put in a couple of requests for similar boxes in the past. I've made more switchers, blenders, loopers, etc than I care to count. And they all work just fine and are fairly simple to put together, but I would love to see them done on PCBs...In my experience a lot of these are easy enough to build but end up with a lot of wires and such and it's just hard to keep clean. Stuff like board-mounted jacks, pots, etc would make it all so, so much cleaner...

This would be cool. Anyone know of mini push button switch like the phase switch on the Swiss things?

I always wondered what was up with the form factor of this thing. Does it make sense to any of you?
My guess is it was a functional thing that came out of prototyping, kinda ugly but for their intended usecase - swiss things at top right of your board, bottom row of your board is all gain, top row of your board is all mod and time effects, make sure all foot switches are far enough apart for no accidental presses - I can see how this particular layout would come out on top.

The thing that gets me is that the buffered loop is on/off and doesn’t allow trails; seems like an obvious miss?

My first thought was, "..no graphics, Earthquaker? ..wtf?"

I like the layout of the footswitches but they sure put that boost knob in the danger zone 🥾🥾
This could be one of the few times a side-mounted pot' might've been a good idea?

@manfesto you're totally right, there should be tails/trails!

Is the OBNE signal blender closer to what you want?

From what I can figure out: The signal blender, the Klein bottle, and the Swiss thing are all a bit different. They all “mix” but not in the same way. Are any of them “the best” or are they just different?

So what are we saying, a clean blend on each of the loops?
That would be super sweet,

- Blend/mix knob on both loops
- Loop #1 w/input buffer, tails bypass
- Loop #2 unbuffered (for Fuzz Faces and the like)
- Loops can be turned on/off independently
- Truebypass passthrough
- Skip the boost circuit, I'd rather choose the flavor of boost before or after the box.
- tuner send
- expression pedal for overall volume control

That's my wishlist..... :ROFLMAO:

And we want it all for 10 bucks. 🤣🤣

Yah for sure the OBNE handles all the blending and mixing. This what I was hoping to build with the GCPCB Paramix board. Only 2 loops in my case. Or some amalgamation of the Paramix plus the GGG Dual IC buffer or the PPCB Simple JFet buffer board, all stuffed into a 1590b:)

Hmmm, one thing I forgot, phase reversal. I learned this the hard way when I tried using the Buff n Blend board. Not all pedals like to be blended due to phase issues. So there's got to be a way to reverse phase.

OMG YES let me add my vote to:

1. Clean blend for each loop
2. expression control for clean blends (or maybe just overall volume per MichaelW)
