JB-weld putty, or similar metal 2-part epoxy filler.I'm weeping..... I spent like 3 hours on that. Luckily I did a batch of pedals and haven't screwed the other two up.. yet...
Maybe I'll just put some wire mesh in there and backlight it... Or stuff some of those marbles in there that I used for my last OCD build... jhaneyzz Tayda OCD
I also screwed up and drilled the left hand hold to 1/2". not my best evening in the shop...
Apparently that old saying "Measure twice. Cut once." needs an amendment to include drilling...\
Mine is ‘measure a few times and still wonder why it’s too short.’ I have a huge scrap pileMy uncle was fond of saying, "Measure never, cut forever"
I guess it's too dark to see in the photo, but the whole enclosure design (on all sides) is done with Ferric Chloride etching, but Yeah, that's a good idea. Ive never tried etching JB Weld but makes sense.Oooph...I second the JB weld suggestion. You might be able to hide the patched holes by rubbing the side of the enclosure with ferric chloride to darken and oxidize it. Be sure to wear gloves, a mask, and work in a ventilated area.
In addition to this suggestion, I can also offer commiseration too. I soldered a 1P8T rotary to the wrong side of a board once.
You and I are going to get along just fine...Ok, so when I flub while playing lead I repeat the flub with a twist to make it seem like I meant to do that. So, uh, I'm thinking..... SPIKES..... get that retro punk thing going by filling the holes with spikes......
Reminds me of when my father taught me to sweat weld copper pipes. We extended a hose bib from the house to the edge of my deck. It only took 4 trips to Home DepotMine is ‘measure a few times and still wonder why it’s too short.’ I have a huge scrap pile![]()
Without fail, all plumbing projects will require multiple trips to the hardware store.Reminds me of when my father taught me to sweat weld copper pipes. We extended a hose bib from the house to the edge of my deck. It only took 4 trips to Home Depot![]()
Well, if I could have found a lefty chassis, it would have worked!!! Which gives me the idea of an amplifier where even the letters are reversed, like emulov, ssab, elbert......@RetiredUnit1 couldn’t have just built it as a lefty amp?
I got that T-shirt alreadyApparently that old saying "Measure twice. Cut once." needs an amendment to include drilling...
