Front mounted jacks are the next big thing

I'm weeping..... I spent like 3 hours on that. Luckily I did a batch of pedals and haven't screwed the other two up.. yet...

Maybe I'll just put some wire mesh in there and backlight it... Or stuff some of those marbles in there that I used for my last OCD build... jhaneyzz Tayda OCD

I also screwed up and drilled the left hand hold to 1/2". not my best evening in the shop...

Oooph...I second the JB weld suggestion. You might be able to hide the patched holes by rubbing the side of the enclosure with ferric chloride to darken and oxidize it. Be sure to wear gloves, a mask, and work in a ventilated area.

In addition to this suggestion, I can also offer commiseration too. I soldered a 1P8T rotary to the wrong side of a board once.

I always write the name of the amp I'm building on the top of the circuit board before I even cut the board. Once I put EVERY TURRET IN BACKWARDS in a Marshall JTM50 and that's a lot of turrets. Had to yank them all back out and toss the turrets away before I could put them in right. Turrets aren't all that expensive, but it adds up......

JB-weld putty, or similar metal 2-part epoxy filler.

Put the enclosure-side to be filled on wax paper and fill in from the back. Work quickly and try to make the plugs as smooth and flat as possible on the outside, because once solidified it’s a PITA to file and sand smooth (got a grinder &/or belt sander?).

Paint a racing-stripe around the outside to help camouflage the plugs.

Or add some mods on pots or switches or extra LED jewel lights with order switcher toggle; or…

I guess it's too dark to see in the photo, but the whole enclosure design (on all sides) is done with Ferric Chloride etching, but Yeah, that's a good idea. Ive never tried etching JB Weld but makes sense.

Still thinking I'm going to go with some grill work or lighting effect. like this marble I used on my OCD build.
