Was friends with him on Facebook for a few years. We would occasionally chat about stuff and he was always pretty friendly. A few months before he died, he posted something really absurdly islamophobic where he said (using a slur that I won’t repeat) that people of middle eastern descent are all would-be terrorists. Asked him if he thought I was a terrorist then, since I’m part-Lebanese and he never seemed to have a problem with me; told him off for being a racist, and reported the post after he doubled down on the claims. He PM’d me about why Arabic people are “evil” amd all kinds of absurdly out-of-character racist ranting. He got a 48 hour suspension I think. Passed away a few weeks later. Would have been really sad about it previously since I love Strawberry Alarm Clock, but was generally indifferent after the whole incident.

Actually always got along with Zach. When I was first starting out as a wee little pre-teen, he was always willing to answer questions about paints and suppliers and stuff. I’m aware of his reputation, but I’ve luckily had only pleasant interactions with him.
Even if I came across Corgan, I’d know better than to interact with him at all
My 8th grade Italian teacher knew him firsthand due to his sister dating James Iha back in the day, and he said that corgan was even worse than his reputation

A couple years ago I saw him at O'Hare. He lives in Chicago, I believe. He is like 7-foot tall with combat boots and a black trench coat on with the collar flipped up. He looked like a vampire, but was pushing his kid in a stroller. About a dozen airport staff yelled, "Hey Billy!" as we walked down the terminal and he looked pissed, understandably.Even if I came across Corgan, I’d know better than to interact with him at all
I sat near him at the gate, but as a personal rule I don't bother or acknowledge celebrities, and I certainly was not talking to him at the risk of him drinking my blood.

I've never cared for the way Zvex deals with communication online, and I have had a personal bad experience with him in person. Chaotic good feels overly generous.

Yes they did, it's the Trower Overdrive. It's a TS with 2 different diodes, a B1M DRIVE pot and the input buffer removed.

I met Sean Connery a load of times through a mutual friend and he was a throughly nice welcoming dude with really funny stories every single time. Hopefully this helps balance out the bad vibes a little bit for you?
