Flat, like the back of a Gibson headstock after you drop itSupposed to be a joke, that fell a little flat![]()
Was friends with him on Facebook for a few years. We would occasionally chat about stuff and he was always pretty friendly. A few months before he died, he posted something really absurdly islamophobic where he said (using a slur that I won’t repeat) that people of middle eastern descent are all would-be terrorists. Asked him if he thought I was a terrorist then, since I’m part-Lebanese and he never seemed to have a problem with me; told him off for being a racist, and reported the post after he doubled down on the claims. He PM’d me about why Arabic people are “evil” amd all kinds of absurdly out-of-character racist ranting. He got a 48 hour suspension I think. Passed away a few weeks later. Would have been really sad about it previously since I love Strawberry Alarm Clock, but was generally indifferent after the whole incident.Ed King? The Skynyrd guitar player? What did you say to piss off Ed King? AFAIK, he was universally well liked guy.
Calling Zachary Vex, Billy Corgan, and Chuck Collins.....Michael Fuller AND Jo Bonamassa. Dude you have excellent taste in douche guitar based celebs to have an argument with.
Actually always got along with Zach. When I was first starting out as a wee little pre-teen, he was always willing to answer questions about paints and suppliers and stuff. I’m aware of his reputation, but I’ve luckily had only pleasant interactions with him.Calling Zachary Vex, Billy Corgan, and Chuck Collins.....
I used to work with and hang out with Ryan Sickler!I hear that and understand.
Anecdote: I'm a big fan of comedian Ryan Sickler and his "Honeydew" podcast.
I have a pile of C&D from mr vex.No idea who Collins is
Ohhh that’s who Collins is? I’ve heard the stories, but didn’t know the name too wellI have a pile of C&D from mr vex.
Try to sell a clone of the Harmonic Percolator in the US and you'll find out who Collins is quick.
A couple years ago I saw him at O'Hare. He lives in Chicago, I believe. He is like 7-foot tall with combat boots and a black trench coat on with the collar flipped up. He looked like a vampire, but was pushing his kid in a stroller. About a dozen airport staff yelled, "Hey Billy!" as we walked down the terminal and he looked pissed, understandably.Even if I came across Corgan, I’d know better than to interact with him at all![]()
I've never cared for the way Zvex deals with communication online, and I have had a personal bad experience with him in person. Chaotic good feels overly generous.
He’s still the most good of the chaotic bunch. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I've never cared for the way Zvex deals with communication online, and I have had a personal bad experience with him in person. Chaotic good feels overly generous.
"Pride of Ownership" my ass. It's the ugliest bldg on the block, the rain gutter is falling off, no landscaping. His neighbors must love him about as much as B&B does. This is the part that gets me:
"DO NOT GO ON SITE. Employees not aware of sale. Please do not speak to anyone."

Yes they did, it's the Trower Overdrive. It's a TS with 2 different diodes, a B1M DRIVE pot and the input buffer removed.Did Fulltone even do a TS? Why even bother?…
Oh wow. How much different does that make it sound than a TS?Yes they did, it's the Trower Overdrive. It's a TS with 2 different diodes, a B1M DRIVE pot and the input buffer removed.
Oh wow, you guys have a lot of celebrity stories. None seem to be good, but a lot nonetheless.
Excellent. I like his movies. Favorite Bond. kick ass hair in medicine man.I met Sean Connery a load of times through a mutual friend and he was a throughly nice welcoming dude with really funny stories every single time. Hopefully this helps balance out the bad vibes a little bit for you?
