Fuzz Foundry... no sound.. again

So I've build 20-25 pedal pcbs at this point.
The Fuzz Foundry was on of my first builds, it never worked so I tossed it. Built another 20 Pedalpcb circuits successfully, went back and just built a fresh Fuzz foundry... once again this doesnt work.

When engaged there is no sound at all, regardless of knob position. Ive verified transistors are seated properly.. Im totally stuck. This circuit is (on paper) the easiest build I've done... yet failed at it twice... WTF am I doing wrong on this one?

Any/all help would be amazing.

What transistors are you using?

Do you have an audio probe? It will help determine where your signal dies out.

Are the transistor pinouts correct?

How sure are you the transistors are good? Are these the same ones you tried in your first attempt?

I think Buddy's right, next step is audio probe.

Does the LED light when engaged w/power?

If not, I would start with voltages.

Upon closer inspection, the LED is a great start, and I bet it doesn't light?



I'm pretty sure the anode (+) is the smaller side, and the cathode (-) is the larger side (unless it just looks that way in the pic).

LED lights up.

gotta dig out my transistor tester.

thanks to all the comments so far, I'll probe it tonight and report back

If the LED is in backwards and it still lights up you might have the + and - power wires reversed on the input jack. Don't ask me how I know.... : ^ )
