Has Anyone Messed With 3D Printing?

Hey there,

I am curious if anyone has 3D printed some typical sized pedal enclosures along with corresponding PCBs for offboard wiring?

I ask because I am not too good with offboard wiring, and am not a huge fan of always having to drill enclosures etc and wanted to make the process a bit easier.

Thanks!

Paging @DailyDovetails. Seriously, click on the profile and view their build reports. Definitely versed in 3D printing enclosures.

As far as boards to minimize off-board wiring, look at the "Utility" section on the PedalPCB.com site. There are all types of breakout boards for many common (and not so common) tasks usually accomplished by offboard wiring.

Continuing where the others left off, you have (at least) 3 choices on simplifying drilling enclosures:
  1. You can buy drill templates from PedalPCB - e.g., https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/125b-drill-template/ and https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/125b-top-jack-drill-template/ - or...
  2. 3D print your own - e.g., https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4845616 (Note: I haven't tried this model or verified it)
  3. You can buy pre-drilled enclosures from a few vendors (search on the forum about this, as I drill my own).

Hey,

I have done a few. I’m working ok getting my thingiverse set up with some common boards but only have one up now. What boards do you have? I will see if I have something done for it and post it.

I only made the 7 min fuzz pedal kit recently and it just hums with 60 hz hum.

I am going to just treat that as a failure pedal for the failure pile.

My biggest thing is that I am chasing a typical slacker type 90s indie guitar tone (Pavement, Sonic Youth, Sebadoh etc)

However I do have some questions:
is there any way I can get mounted pcbs that mount to the enclosure?

Are there pcbs that would take care of dc barrel jacks, and the input and output jack wiring?

Also, here are the pedals I debate buying kits and parts for:
