How Big Is Your Backlog?

Backlog hmmm . . . .? Looking at the project boxes currently, there are 33 projects in the queue. Looking at my spreadsheet, there are 48 in the queue. I know the PCBs and perfboards are around here somewhere.)

But hey, it not like pedal building is an exact science now is it? 🤫

S'what I like to hear!
Thanks, I do what I can.

I think I have about 40 sitting here. Some people here are bad influences and it’s been a super busy year.
😐

you know what, I think I'm going to dig around and find out tonight. I bet I don't buy anything for a while after though ... the reality will set in that I will be shucking out a few DHL shipping charges and that after about the third one it may be cheaper to just buy a few of these used.

About as long as the front log.
I'm currently stuck in a don't want to box it phase. I'm over ungly/plain boxes but no time for cool stuff.
Just got a metal embossing Dymo though so my new style may be "industrial boring". SS/Al Dymo labels riveted to the enclosure seems a good balance of cool and boring efficiency. Just have to figure out how to make them less stabby

Let's see.... I have 2 PCBs that I made mistakes on to fix, 1 assembled with footswitch and knobs but no enclosure, 4 PCBs in a baggie, and a project on my breadboard. So, 8! More like 15 if you count the empty protoboards I have.

55 but I'll be offloading some stuff in the madbean pif. I had a pile started for this year's pif-mas and I still got stuff for the game over here.

So is it kosher to re-pif? Need to de-pif yesteryear's pif.
Also hoping Bean's game doesn't turn into a casting out of nonbuildables because I, as others, have a PCP PCB problem.
(I've actually done well the last few months, aside from the last moonn sale. But there were some things I'd wanted from there for some time so figured I'd pull the trigger. But gave myself a rule a year or so ago. I have two larger drawers in my organizers for PCBs. If I can close both easily, no more. Exceptions can be made for builds for others)

Not to be "that guy" but if I count both my personal designs and prototypes plus boards I've bought from other vendors: easily 80. Probably a bit more. I'm finally admitting to myself I'm never going to get around to all of them so I will probably start giving things away,

@bean go ahead and take me off the list for your game. I don't have time for ingrates.

Since the last thread like this one, I've built... started a few more builds. Follow through seems to be the problem.

The rate I build at is exceeded exponentially by the number of PCBs piling up. More PCBs have arrived since the pic in the link was taken...

My wife gave me "the talk" yesterday, after seeing a few recent purchases.

The same talk she gave me before.

Whose tone? We have a problem...

Not sure if you're joking, but I was. Should have phrased it better though. More along the lines of, hoping it doesn't turn to *everyone* casting off of their non-buildables. Nothing wrong with pifing PCBs. But, IMO, it would be a missed opportunity for the game if that was the common theme. Custom or discontinued PCBs, sure. But with it being a mystery pif, that affords the opportunity, if one wishes, to do something a little different than the standard holiday PIF. Started getting mine together last night and it's something I've been developing over the last few months. It's a unique solution that invested some time into that will hopefully add some ease and joy to its final recipient.
Anyway. Cheers. Have a good Wednesday.
