I had something like that happen to me once, it was a very long plane ride.

If you're in Germany then you may recognise these.

The Cream JTA 45 is a fairly obvious clone (KT66).

The Linnemann Blues-Reverb is supposed to be Trainwreck-Fender inspired. I've never played a Trainwreck, but this one goes from a nice Fender clean to an absolute beast once you start pushing it past 60%. Fuchsia Fuzz or Brown Betty through it and you're extremely versatile with a volume knob to go all the places you want.

There's a chinese 5F2A clone around, as well as an Engl Screamer, but these two going through a load box with some IR speaker cabs give me all I need. (But not all I want).

The only thing I've ever won was a Hot Fun in the Summertime -Sly & The Family Stone 45rpm in 1970. You want it?
I won a Chili cook off once (but I think the voting was rigged) Oh and that one time I won the Marshall '62 Bluesbreaker Reissue with a compact pedal board, but yeah I never win anything either

Here’s my latest amp and creation. A cathode biased, 6 watt, push pull amp powered by 6AQ5s. Not the best, nor cleanest layout for a tube amp but, it works. It’s virtually noise free at idle with just the slightest heater hum. Aside from the power and output transformers, most of the amp was scabbed together with parts I already had on hand. For what it is I think it sounds pretty cool. It has some very Marshall-esque growl to it.

Very nice! Did you build this off a specific schematic?

Thanks! I used several schematics to come up with my own. It was originally inspired by a schematic and video that Terry Dayton did on his D-Lab Electronics YouTube channel. I kept his preamp section pretty much the same except I added a tone circuit from a Hoffman stout. I ditched Terry’s 6AV6 cathodyne phase inverter and went with a 12AX7 ltp phase inverter that is used on a 6v6 powered Marshall 18w. Finally, I tested out different cathode bypass caps on the first 12AX7 triode and the 6AQ5 cathodes, until I found a value that sounded best to me.

Update on my Silver Stripe Bandit. I got a metal name plate made off Etsy and decided to mount it Fender style. I think this thing is pretty much done other than putting a different speaker in at some point or making a new bag for the spring tank.

This amp surprises me every day I know it’s not a tube amp but I love it so much
