Looks like Tayda's backed up again...

Mmkay, I was right. The only reason my November 6 order hadn't been touched was because I ordered more drill/print services than enclosures. I had him cancel my order and placed a new one November 27, and drilling is complete on most of my boxes now.
That's a weird little situation, glad it got resolved. I thought about getting extra uvs/drills before but I'm glad I didn't now.

Yeah I certainly thought I was being clever, but apparently it ruins everything :P Glad at the very least I can let everyone know it doesn't work, and all it cost me was 3 weeks of my time :rolleyes:

I'm kinda hoping this problem works out in my favor. I screwed up when placing my order and forgot to select one of the gloss line items from my order when setting up the drill/art files. So I have an unused gloss layer in my order that I'm kinda hoping raises a red flag so I can fix it. I sent them a note via the contact form, but haven't heard anything back.

Hugo is good about getting back to people, but it may be a day or two. I think there was a day or so delay in the reply to me.
 
Yeah, things appear to be moving at warp speed at this point - I ordered on Sunday and everything is drilled, painted, and into UV... it may ship before the end of the week... :oops:
Yup, my new order is huge, but all the drilling is done and almost half of the powdercoats are done with UV prints in progress. Looks like they're getting the backlog cleared out and moving smoother now.

I'm sure everyone was on pins and needles to hear about what happened ;) First off there is no backup at Tayda, my order flew through the process. I placed my order on the 11/29. Drill/Paint/Print took about a day each and it shipped on 11/3 and landed on my doorstep today. I contacted Tayda support via the website immediately after placing my order when I noticed the omission, but didn't get a reply from Hugo until after UV printing was completed. Lucky for me one of his people caught the mistake and correctly assumed that I intended to have a gloss layer. Hugo did say I was lucky and not to expect that to always be the case. Whew.

Glad that worked out, they seem to be pretty understanding and accommodating as long as you aren't trying to take advantage of them. My 11/27 order shipped a couple days ago and ETA is tomorrow, my 11/30 order finished super quick but for some reason it took them a couple days to get it packed up and shipped, but that should be here in a couple days as well. Excited to show my wife why we can't afford christmas presents this year :giggle:
