New Marshall Pedals

The JVM pedal has a noise gate.

If it's anything like the amp it'll bloody need it when the gain and volume start getting cranked :ROFLMAO:

Is it a fet input stage and then opamp based like the circuit Santiago said he designed three years ago for them?

I'm going to have a buy these pcbs. The Peavey ones, as well. I know that I'll like them enough and buy another set of each. I know myself, too well. I'm afraid my wife is going to have an intervention, soon.

By looking at the gutshots posted:

- Jfet input gain stage going to gain pot (?) going to first opamp stage
- Looks like MC3317 opamp
- Diodes in feedback loop with those BAV-type "transistor-shape" diode pairs? Perhaps similar to what Friedman or Blackstar have already done on their SS/Hybrids.
- Lug 1 of tone pot going to cap going to possibly ground, standard-ish treble cut there
- Surprised not to see any LEDs, given Marshall's fondness of them

Damn eager to see the schems. They actually sound consistently good on the demos.

I've played a few excellent Marshall 2204 style amps and quite like that kind of master volume in those amps. Right now I'm playing a 1987 Lead style Marshall circuit (ie not a MV amp) in a 1x12 combo a lot and it handles my ODs like a champ. After hearing Steve Jones' live sound over the weekend I'm keen to hear what the JCM800 pedal might sound like through my amp.

Nothing special, they're just 4148 / BAT equivalents but there are two of them in one SOT-23 package.
