New Marshall Pedals

The most liked answer in the video comments is exactly mentioning the Marshall as demo amp.
But it‘s ok. Maybe the clean of my JCM style amp sounds like a JVM with the pedal.

I'm kind of really not excited for these TBH, 4 knobs single-mode, big box, probably nothing exciting going on inside, demo makes them sound like standard MIAB pedals and they all seem rather samey. Why not go full EQ, add a mod or channel switch? Or ditch this idea of "small" emulation pedals and just do stuff like a Valvestate preamp pedal or a floor unit JMP-1? It's 80s/90s nostalgia year looking at the other brands' releases, the time seems right.

The JVM has a gate (I'm assuming THAT4305 based since it's inspired by the JVM410HJS), so that one is going to be at least somewhat unique to the others.
Unless it costs a good bit more than the others my guess is this:

I quite like the look of them, but it feels a little late to the game....Everyone and their mom makes a dozen varieties of MIAB's right now. I'm sure they will sell just fine as many will think "They're the original so they're the best" or similar... but I suspect in practice they won't be doing anything different and/or better than the existing options. Feels different than the Peavey line; I know Peavey themselves aren't the first to do a Peavey-voiced pedal but suffice to say they're certainly not as market-saturated as MIAB's....

What pedal is this from?

Yep, plug it straight into the PA and let's hear it.
Eh, if it was designed to be played in front of an amp it's probably going to sound bad without the added tone shaping of a clean channel. But yeah, a more neutral sounding guitar amp would have been nice for these demos.

Directly on sale...

Well... obviously... In the Andertons Video it's stated that they will cost 119£ which is currently as 209€ on Thomann.de and sold for 139€.
119£ is currently 141,52€ so no "sale" going on. I was scammed by a news page...

I asked Santiago Alvarez about these a few days ago. I've quoted the relevant bits below

"Hmmm, interesting question... I may actually know a thing or two about the jvm pedal. Perhaps it's somehow related to a circuit that I had prototyped years ago and brought with me when I rejoined Marshall while all these pedals were under development.

That "jvm" pedal started just as a high gain pedal experiment back in the day, I'm curious what they have changed in 3 years. I have improved it since then and I use it with clean amps from time to time, hopefully it can see the light sooner rather than later"

"The one I designed had a FET input stage, roughly based on an Echoplex input. I developed that one almost 10 years ago and was used in the Teisco Booster pedal. Then the rest of the pedal is op-amp based"

It'll be interesting to see if they've continued working with his prototypes or went with something totally different.

they seem to all have that same bandwidth limited/squashed boxyness to it.
gonna lmao when a guv'nor sounds better than all of them.
Makes me think it’s FET based and they are pushing the low end a bit much….reminds me a lot of another pedal. Could it be:

I already have a DLS…
Exactly the pedal I was thinking of! Had such high hopes for the DLS, and man was I let down. For me I don’t think these are any better than th Wampler Plexi drive
