Notaklon

Love it! And it has build docs!

I also love that they pretend Josh's son doesn't know what a Klon is. Please...:)

So what are his modifications?

These things are going to be showing up on a lot of boards...

C'mon, solderless? A C-note, that's cheaper than ... borscht.
They're going to sell like hotcakes, Siberian hotcakes in Siberia where you need to eat a lot to keep warm...

I'm gonna pronounce it:
Noh tack lawn

I jumped on the train and bought one just for the fun of it right when the stream started… had the website open and noticed the new tab pedal kits… checked out immediately in case they were limited as they usually are for those releases.

There is something about that guy that I find a bit slimy. I don't care about all the controversy they go on about on other (boring) forums, but just watching him talk about things makes me a little uncomfortable. Is it his smugness? His generalisations? His over-simplifications? I don't know, but he sort of comes across like a used-car salesman. And I never understand why a guitarist selling guitar pedals uses such a cheesy keyboard sound intro for his videos.

I mean as far as I understand he had an agreement with Bill Finnegan not to do Klones as Klon still produced and produces the KTR. Don't know if the deal expired or this is truly a loophole to sell Klones for him without actually selling Klones, but here we are.

What's bugging me most is the sheer influence Josh has over the pedal market, consumer beliefs and the unreasonably high amount of brand loyalty JHS has. Not saying his pedals are crap, after all the majority really are just SMD versions of classic and DIY circuits that more creative people came up with just with minimal tweaks, but there's so much misinformation going on in his videos and his marketing. I totally get that marketing needs to be exciting, but claiming they engineered something from scratch when all they did is clone an existing DIY circuit and change a cap and put a switch in one place, it's fraud in my books.

We did the goop thing about four years ago.... just sayin. :ROFLMAO:
