My first build report of 2023! WOOHOO! Some of you may know my computer went to crap about a month or so ago. Ever since i have been trying to get back on track in terms of designs and whatnot. This design was actually done a month ago, a few days after my computer breaks i find out the UV print was kicked back and i needed to do it all over again. When i finally got a computer again i fixed it immediately and here we are! I also want to add that @DGWVI sent me this board big thanks to him!
First things first this thing ROCKS! It has all the wonky quacks of the original DOD 440 reissue and tbh i cant tell the difference! There were a couple resistors that i didnt have so i put a couple in series to make up for them, thats what the black heat shrinked Tee pees are! The build itself is quite easy nothing to worry about. The only thing is finding the LM13700. @MichaelW i believe pointed me to them, If my memory serves me correct i got them at GuitarPCB when he had them in stock!
Now setting this up is a little different. I kind of played it by ear when setting the trimmer settings. I found a sweet spot that i like. I havent actually looked up what i should be looking for when doing so hence the "BY The Ear" technique. It works nonetheless and it works VERY well! Definitely one that im going to be having some fun with here in the next few days!
5 out of 5 for me! Being back building feels soo good and to build in such a beautiful enclosure was a nice welcome! Im going to be doing more UV prints in the future. Theres something to the quality that you just cant ignore! Really love the way this came out! Will be doing a demo of it probably tomorrow!
