I cant seem to find what in looking for as the description says. Just want one to out into a 2x12 cab i have to run as a stereo 8 ohm when needed. Am i looking for a unicorn?

The 12a shunt tip makes contact with the tip when nothing is connected, bit the sleeve is always making contact connected or not. I think i would need the sleeve as well and not just the tip shunt of the 12a. I might be wrong, whicj is why i ask :)

Are you going out from at amp to a 2x12? Because I’ve always used a 12a with the shunt tip. I’ve never done stereo setups so it might be different.

I've read it 5 times but still not 100% on what you're after.
Do you want this on a cab so it runs in mono with 1 cable inserted and stereo with 2 cables inserted?
Not open frame but maybe the cliff CL11607? (datasheet)

I have a 2x12 cab with two 8 ohms wires speakers in parallel i use with my 4 ohm head. I want to be able to plug into the 2nd jack and have it be switched so it will rin just one speaker at 8 ohm.

Ive got some switched non open jacks. Just for whatever reason would prefer an open face.

Those 11/12 switchcraft open jacks are only rated up to 25 watts(25v 1A)

Something like the 54AX or 25X would be better suited

I was researching this subject for my next couple of amp builds. Another option is the Z15J. It’s rated for 15 amps continuous.

No switching of course. But on the output side of things I’d rather not have switching on the jacks. Two Z15J in parallel and a chassis mounted 220 ohm 25 watt resistor hardwired to the 16 ohm tap (for accidents).
