Uhm.......what the heck Kingtone??

I mean I know it can be done, I'm not questioning that, or even judging the little mini pot sticking out the side of the RockMania.

My question is why, when space is not limited in any way? Were folks complaining that the knobs protruded too far?

What's going to happen when I'm completely lit on Busch Light, playing my favorite Bonamassa licks, worried sick about that Check Engine light, and miss the 3PDT? That toggle switch, which has no exterior mounting hardware I might add, is going straight through the bottom of the PCB.

This looks like what you'd get if you AI generated enough pictures of guitar pedals. I don't hate it, but I would have never gone with this format if I was designing something from scratch that could be literally almost any shape, especially the weird stacked jacks.

Their blurb says "Protected Knobs – No More Cables Or Feet Messing With The Settings But Still Easy To Adjust."

The toggle barely sticks out 2mm or so, I suspect you'd have to work pretty hard to break it. Just like trying to get lit on Busch Light:

One of my favorite Timmy variants. But what the heck????

Version 2 of this will have knurling on the top of the knobs so yo can turn the Bloody thing coz the pedal next door will be in the way!!!

I think this is a good way of putting it. I guess there’s something to be said for originality, but like…. Hypothetically speaking, if money was no object and you were tasked with creating a completely new/unique design for a pedal enclosure/hardware, how many of our “dream enclosures” would end up looking even remotely like this?

It's good to see someone trying something different.
I wish they'd have figured some way to protect the switch as it's now the highest point and I bet that's a pain to disassemble. But otherwise, very road worthy and a lot of tweakability in a small package.
+1 point for dip access without having to pull it off the board.
We don't play them for the looks though.

I think it looks cool, but putting the jacks on top of each other is stupid and a deal breaker. I like the recessed knobs. I'm sure besides looking unique the idea was to prevent them from being bumped and the settings changed. In a way it reminds me of a one of the Danelectro enclosures.

Well obviously with the way the pots/knobs are placed you're going to have trouble fitting the jacks on the top edge! I actually don't mind the way the knobs are recessed. I think it's a cool idea except that it compromises everything else by doing so!

FWIW One Control FX from Japan CNC their enclosures from billet and they are beautifully engineered. The sides are a perfect 90 degrees from the top and back which is unusual in a world of cast enclosures. It does seem to be an inefficient way to produce a guitar FX pedal enclosure but I guess they can reuse the swarf. And the result is probably stronger than a zinc casting.
