What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Decided to build a TS9 today around 11am. As of 8pm-ish I have the board done, cuts and links made, and I installed the socket for the IC. I also picked out a color for the paint: neon lime green…

Now, I also have another board that has cuts and links, but the cuts go one way, and the links go the other. Stripboard is hard…but cheap.

Yep, been there.

Used my BMP board to build a V7 Green Civil War/Tall Font Green Russian. I have the toggle for the mid hump and hardwired it on. Sounds really good and sustain for days.

I designed mine for BC550s and used 2N5089s on this. They have opposite pinouts if anyone was wondering. Ask me how I know 😂 A BMP is an underwhelming overdrive (under drive?) with backwards transistors.

Can’t wait to design the enclosure and box it up for a friend. Gotta use the army green from Tayda for this.

I had more GT402 transistors, and I recently accidentally ordered a bunch of 1/2W resistors instead of the 1/4W resistors I meant to buy, so I'm making a Fuzz Face.

This one biased really easily, which is nice. All tantalum caps except for the MLCC output cap, because I have them and wanted to see if it affected the sound. It definitely seems to compared to electrolytics, which might be placebo and might be due to the better tolerances and lower ESR. I noticed that changing the capcitors from electrolytic to tantalum also changed the bias significantly, I assume due to lower ESR.

Sloppy, melty, verification build warning:

Something is wrong here. Can you spot it? (It's not that exposed R19 footprint)
