What Ya Working On?…

I've got the electrolytic caps and pots left on my Mofeta build and then it's boxing time. Plan is to throw it in the effects loops of my bx300c bass amp to give it some character.

The backlog has a lot on it but I'm maybe most excited excited for the XC Phase.

I just finished some guitar work, one for me and one for a buddy that I do a lot of work for.
Me: I put new pickups in my tele, added a phase switch, shielded all the cavities, and changed the knobs to nickel extra heavy knurled ones. I like em a lot

My buddy's guitar got the fender cunife wide ranging pickups installed, pots cleaned, selector switch rewired, and I installed a B5 Bigsby and a Callaham bridge

How do you like the Rolling Bender?

@Barry I like it quite a bit. I like that it's not invasive to install but I wish the lever were longer. There was a bit of a learning curve to how to actuate it for the sounds I want. It's really made me rethink my playing and wanting to know the fretboard better. I've got a pretty good hang of it now

It's a ways down the line still, but I am currently collecting the needed parts for a spring reverb. I'm going to make two: one for myself and one for my cousin.

This project is what has me looking in to bending my own enclosures. My cousin and his partner are currently going through the very long and difficult process of adopting his nephew because his parents can't take care of him.

I don't think they ever considered having kids (he is 41) and they are really stepping up and going far beyond what most people would do so I wanted to make this a special build. I've been thinking of ways to take my builds a bit further and if I can reliable make my own enclosures that would be pretty rad. This gave me the push I needed to get going.

Dude. Those are sweeeeeeeet! How did you get that finish?
Drill enclosure, tapes all sides and spray on a coat of primer. Then krylon glow in the dark spray paint multiple coats so it actually glows. Once that is completely dry spray on montana crackle paint, a light coat gives you multiple crackles and a super heavy coat give the big crackles. Then clear coat once completely dry. The one onthe right is actually orange, looks super cool in the day light. I picked up green, blue and orange spray paint on clearance at ace hardware. The montana spray is expensive, 15 dollars a bottle off amazon.

Working on a Brake-pedal…

Friend helped me fix the brakes on the '66 Windsor.

Now maybe I can get back to putting a parts order together and finally build some more pedals.

Then again, might be more gas-pedal building — another friend just picked up a '41 pickup...

Got a Conqueror Deluxe, another Viceroy and a Mojito I need to box up, then I have about 6 or 7 enclosures prepped, couple of Seabed Delays and several SRV/SR for some buddies. an ADHD, Paragon and Frost Drive to replace some things I gave away and another set of the Pro 10's. We bought a little camper on a leased lot over on the Chestatee river, so that's been eating up my weekends, but in a good way.
Is it along the tubing section? That whole area is really nice.
