Someone stop me from putting a Vibrola on my Coronet

yeah, that whole image (sucker for pale pink guitars...) with the subtle patina on the nickel plate, the engraving, it's all wonderful eye candy, and I really want one too!

I have vague memories (f**k, from ~55 years ago!) of a bandmate's SG deluxe (or whatever the 3 PU model was called, that had the Vibrola on it)—I had a Gretsch with a Bigsby at the time—the Vibrola took a LOT of verbal abuse from him. He loved the guitar, but had real Bigsby jealousy.

As soon as I get the shipping list of where these are all going to I'll get them out in the mail. I'm not even sure I know what all these projects are but I can't wait to build them!!!!

I'm resisting the temptation to put a Gibson vibrola on my Firebird. They're pretty horrible as far as tuning stability (at least the ones I've played) but they look so cool....heh.

Something tells me we're going to see the Firebird in an upcoming 10-part series of guitar mod-a-rama featuring nut making, fret leveling, pickup rolling and paper and oil auditioning for the cap.

Haven't got a damn clue what some of these are but I'm sure they're going to be interesting! Shout out to Moonn also for honouring my request to include a Big Mess Pi in the otherwise random mix, as this was the one I really wanted to try. A+ customer service.

EDIT now I'm excited about the Space Is Fun because I have had a spare BTDR-2 in my parts box for years that I have been wondering what to do with. Now I have my answer.

Sweet haul! I’ve got a lab rat in the mail, and a similar mpb set I’ve yet to pull the trigger on.

I'm super excited for all of these builds. I had been eyeballing the lab rat for a while and I'm pumped that its a DIY PCB now. The skoolie has been on my radar for a while but I was a little intimidated. Once I had resolved to go in on the skoolie, I decided to grab the current lover, kraken, and mini mu. I build the PPCB Phase II recently and it knocked my socks off so im going full steam ahead on old school modulation stuff

The strike would occur at the end of the current contract period (July 31).

Shipping delays are a bummer, but refusing to agree to a fair contract with your workers is worse.

Well, I was a programmer. No computer programmer unions......

And I had to do everything. Phone system down? Call Allen. Computer frozen and won't boot? Call Allen. Manufacturing lead time not affecting MRP correctly? Call Allen. Flat tire in the parking lot? Yep, me too.....

That's a fun set of boards but I feel like it's a crime to have left the lofran out of a moonn bass bundle.

Tell me about it! It's awesome. It's 80 mm (a little over 3 in) in diameter if you're curious.

Hmm... indeed. But I already have a Cream Pie on the mountain, so that'll hold me over until I decide to get a Lo Fran too

Speaking of Germany, I got a 100 Euro order from Banzai featuring a bunch of ICs and stuff. It's uncanny how quickly these orders add up.

I was also going to place a sizeable order at Tubesandmore but shipping was 70 dollars. Uh-oh. Too bad cause they have some great knobs, vintage spaced stripboard etc.

Things are changing. Even Alphabet employees now have a union (still small as far as I understand but it’s a start). Given all the layoffs they did it makes perfect sense…
