Ebay / AliExpress. It's a SOT 23-6 socket for flashing ICs, but it should work for testing transistors.

I googled those cryptic names and discovered they are SMD packages. Good to know for when I finally hire oompa loompas to do SMD work. My hands are too big for those.

That Equilux is a game changer pedal. I have loved mine. I keep it at arms length, and adjust the tone for each guitar.

There wasn’t a buy, I had some favours to repay, and had a few extra boards in the lot I sent to Michael so they got down distributed around (unfairly, I might add, because there are a lot of people around here worthy of some sheepy love).

If there’s enough interest, I might look at doing some group runs. I try to avoid duplicating PPCB boards so there are probably a couple which are not on the radar here.

I finally got my Musikding order! A Low Tide kit, some knobs, jacks, footswitches, a rotary selector and some 2N5457's.

...except the Low Tide kit has a MCP602 on backorder. I don't think I have any alternatives either. I might have a NE5532 I found listed somewhere as an alternative, but I think that needs a higher voltage. Dammit.

Well, at least I can finish the Matamp pedal now, and see if the 2N5457 brings down the noise on the Clandestine Preamp compared to what I have in it now.

Edit: From first test it seems it did bring the noise down! Excellent!

Oh, excellent news, I can then probably whip it up and test it out with a NE5532 while I wait for the missing part!

I should get my pedalboard in the next 2 hours too so today will probably be spent on that, so the Low Tide will have to wait anyway. But great to know!

Got some Tayda drilled boxes to verify my templates so I can make them available for people that are into that sort of thing.

Just in from Gorva (in Canada). A couple of their new MBB (make-before-break) stomp switches for beta testing. They look like normal 3PDT stompswitches, but they make the new connection before breaking the previous connection. These are not even off the assembly line, as they have been hand-assembled for final beta testing. Now, to sort out how best to go about testing them.
