But, I dislike both of thems... Actually, I do still need to build a couple of Echo Dream Reverberation Machines that I got the boards for.

Really don't care for the Pareidolia, but you might dig what I did with my last one -
Very cool! What mods did you implement there? Can’t quite tell what the toggle switch between the rate and depth pots it doing, but I dig it

After putting some tomastik jazz flats on my yazz telecaster (Charlie Christian neck pu) I realized I have flats on everything but my bari.

Update: Why? Why haven't I been using these for decades??? So many misspent years.... I haven't even plugged it in yet and I'm all in.

I played flatwounds on my bass for years until I was introduced to LaBella tapewounds. Everything I love about flats combined with everything I love about rounds. Love LaBella's stuff (also the people at their NAMM booth last year were all super nice).

How would you say they compare to half-rounds? I used a set of flats for about 10 years in one band, but then decided on half rounds to be a little more versatile.

I've never tried half rounds, but I'd imagine similar sound, different feel. The tapewounds are silky smooth like flatwounds, but they have a brighter sound, in between rounds and flats. My problem was always that rounds were too bright, and brand new flats were great, but over time they started to get too dark sounding for me. Tapewounds turned out to be exactly what my ears were looking for.
