This actually came a few days ago, but I only finished my last final crit of the semester last night, and I was working in the studios at school 22 hours a day for the past week, so I didn’t get to open it until now…
Moonn PCBs from the sale they had back in the end of March. Picked a few PCBs, and then also got a few of the mystery packs. He even threw in a few extras! Definitely looking forward to making some weird sounds— the time based ones will probably all be used for my synths. Here’s what we’ve got:

I just slapped together (unboxed) the octomix, multiface and love yourself in every way last week. The latter 2 are absolutely silly but a fun exercise in over complicating simple things. Octomix is pretty fun too. I do love me some escobedo circuits.

I may have gone a little overboard on the Effects Layouts sale a few weeks ago. Just a little.
I got a Widogast, Pepperbox, Chaos Bolt, Need For Tweed, Lilliput, Great Vengeance, Illithid, and Hot Bod, as if I have time to build all of this shit.

Curiously enough, while I wasn't completely blown away by that one even when I got it working correctly, when stacked with the Texas Twang/Treble/whatever from Fuzzdog on the most-flat setting and gain set to around unity or a bit over it sounds pretty great. I wonder if I should just rig up some high pass on the input of that one. Although if I keep the booster on my board I can get either the really blown out undefined distortion, and also the nicer one I like more.

Good to know! That was one of the mystery PCBs I received. I’ll breadboard it up and see if it needs some tweaking to get it how I like before I build it.

Can't wait to see some build reports. The Moonn stuff, particularly the Escobedo circuits, is a ton of fun

Could try a 10n or lower across pins 2 & 3 of the Gain pot for some treble bleed at the input

Awesome! Thought it might be that, but there’s no build docs yet and I didn’t see it mentioned on the product page.
I’m definitely looking forward to doing some of the moonn builds this summer— just finished the semester yesterday so I finally have some time to breathe and get building! At the moment I’m planning out some mods to the Space is Fun (DBA Reverberation Machine) to make it more exciting with synths. First order of business is planning out the drill layout to make sure the conversion from BTDR-2H to BTDR-3H can feasibly be done.

Rad! The opposite kinda happened with me- just got a fuckton more responsibility and working hours, which is why my builds have slowed down
That Belton swap will be rad to see. I still need to build my Space is Fun. I've built another Reverberation Machine clone in the past, and it was pretty meh to me

The reverberation machine honestly doesn’t appeal to me all that much on guitar, but I got the board because I think it should be really incredible with my ARP Odyssey for some sort of spacey prog synth solo stuff. The swap should be as easy as bending pins 7-10 up and wiring them offboard, but I’m not sure if it’ll shift the position of the brick such that it doesn’t fit within a 1590BB. Yeah, reverb on vintage synths is almost a must. Never been a fan of it on guitar outside of some light spring reverb

Obligatory "someone told me to use a 500k pot for volume at least" (I went with 1M since I had an extra) and "LM386-N1 might suck, if you run into issues try LM386-L or N3/4". But I feel like I mention that every second thread anyway for some weird reason.

Couple of 15cm patch cables with RED ends. Tested, working well. I've had really good results with these AliExpress flat patch cables, hopefully the red ones are the same quality as the black ones.

Those look almost identical to the M Maka branded cables I've been using for years. I've only had one fail, and that was my fault for bending the strain relief portion a bit too much

My Mouser order got bumped to Monday. Good thing I didn't stay home waiting for the delivery person. Interestingly enough FedEx shows either I wasn't at home at 3pm (I was) or their facility was (they call it a day early on Fri?)
Too bad, I was looking forward to putting together my Protoboard this weekend.
Also it's really cold and it rains all the time. I swear this country has no spring. Global warming my ass!
