@Paradox916 Its a grade of aluminum thats probably the best candidate for bending. 5052 is pretty close behind. Thats what me and and @Erik S are using. It has similar bending qualities but is not as workable as 3003. Id say 5052 is structurally stronger though.

Ive used 5052 for hydrolic lines but never structure, that’s always been 2024–T3,6062-T6 or 7075-T6… but it was a piece that required a lot of bending 2024-T3 was my go to if SRMs didn’t specify material.

Here’s some homework for you then…lot of good stuff in there and it’s pretty easy to understand. Chapter 1 should be the one that’s interesting here.

Sorry check out AC43-13-1B I think that’s the one with more info, you can buy both in one book but a lot of that doesn’t pertain to what we are talking about

(And UPS hasn't shown up yet with a couple of other little goodies.....)

First up, a few boards from @Robert. Mainly the Byrdhouse Compressor, because @Harry Klippton said that it was absolutely necessary for my mental health and well being....... Another Virgil for my brother, a Betty Boost, because the Friedman Buxom Betty is my favorite amp in the world. And I don't remember what the Trojan Horse was........ but it looked cool at the time


Then from the UK Ebay, some TDA7025's for my Hooke Reverb, sigh and they're the wrong ones....I needed "B"'s not "A"s. Bleah......


Re-up of my new favorite 1590B jacks from AES.


Re-up of my love/hate relationship with Lumberg, a necessary evil for some builds. Gotta hold my nose when I order them.


Some filtetron rings for my HarleyBacker. The pickup route is a goofy non-standard route and the original rings won't fit the trons I got.
It might be a wierd juxtaposition between a Ric and Gretsch with these. But I have a plan "B".......


Plan B for the HarleyBacker. Some GFS Dearmond style pickups. I'll have to see which fits better, these or the Trons.


And finally, imagine my surprise when I discovered I was out of 3PDT's.....sheesh. Wasn't worth placing a Tayda order for just these.
So I grabbed the "Pro" 1kg version from SPB. They feel pretty good.
